73 Degrees!!!!

Do you think this means that winter is over-----probably not!! But it sure feels good to get out and work in the yard. I found these in my flowerbeds today. It almost takes a microscope to see them, but at least there is a little color other than gray and white.

Hope

There is nothing like a nice spring day to give a person a positive outlook. We needed a day like today.

I hope my neighbor doesn't mind, but I had to get a couple of photos of a taste of spring from their yard.

Chocolate Bread

Jaden was shopping with me yesterday. He was sitting in the cart at Sam's Club while I was looking at bread to buy. I chose a loaf of whole wheat bread. He said, "Grandma, why are you buying chocolate bread?"

I thought it was cute. I guess if brown milk is chocolate milk, then brown bread is chocolate bread......makes sense to me.

ALL BOY......Times 3

Melissa and I had the fun of watching the boys for a little while this afternoon. They never cease to amaze me with their energy. Jaden has always called the boys his brothers. But, today he saw a Dora show where they were talking about twins. He kept telling me that they are twins today. I didn't hear him call them brothers once.

Summer break

Melissa is home for summer break. She is working at Home Depot in the garden center and likes it so far. It's nice having her back with us for a while. If you need any gardening supplies, I'm sure she would be happy to help you out. She helped us find a post to hang our bird feeder on last Saturday. It was nice having her there to wait on us!!

I heard from Heather today. She is getting some much needed rest. I think she sounds less stressed than she has for several months now. Hopefully Beau enjoyed his first day at work. I can talk to Heather and Beau and keep in touch with them. But I sure hope little Harlee doesn't forget me.....

We Love You, Halls....

Today was the big moving day for Heather, Beau, and Harlee. They stayed here last night so we got to see Harlee get her bath this morning. We were on our way by 8:30. Despite a ruined tire on the Hall's moving trailer, (thank heavens for dualies) we made it in great time. Their new apartment is very nice. Harlee seemed a little confused, but once she could sit on the couch and watch Baby Einstein she seemed to get the idea that this was now home. We didn't get any photos of the apartment but Heather promised some on her blog next week once she is settled.

I know that Heather has been very emotional about leaving family, but once we got there she seemed excited and happy to be there. I bet in a few months she'll be raving about how much she loves it.

Twin Falls seems like a really nice place to live. The new temple is nearly finished. I can't wait to go back to Shoshone Falls when the water is flowing more. They were pretty today but should be spectacular once the runoff gets going from the mountains around here. We've given Heather and Beau the assignment to find out all the things to do in the area there so we can make lots of trips to have fun with them.

Too Pooped to Pump

There are days when this could be my motto. Click on the photo so you can see the sign on the pump.

Our Little Princess

One thing is for sure--you love all your children and grandchildren with a love that can't be measured. You could never love one more than the other. That being said--so far we only have one princess grandchild. We have three handsome princes with one more on the way and we adore them all. For now, Harlee gets the distinction of being the only princess. She does the job very well... Of course, our four daughters all did the job well, too!!

Yesterday I had the fun of tending her for the afternoon and evening. I was so busy with her, I didn't get out the camera until we had a few minutes to sit in my bed and read some books. She was so cute looking at the old Sesame Street Little Golden Books that my girls used to read. I just had to have a permanent record of that memory.

It's a bittersweet time with Heather and Beau planning their move to Twin Falls. We are so happy and excited for this opportunity for Beau to get his foot in the door in Construction Management. We are sad that they won't live as close as they have been. But, Twin Falls isn't that far away. I think about Barbara and Dennis having their little princesses in China and Kathy having hers in Japan. They can't get in the car and make a day trip to see their little ones. So we are very blessed.

Spooky

What a wonderful time we had in Escalante National Monument. One of the most fun parts of the trip was a hike we took to some slot canyons. Here is Greg in Spooky--a very narrow slot. He made it through, but I don't know how!!

Landscape photos are the most beautiful when taken at sunrise and sunset. We get up early and stay out late. Here is one of our sunrise watching locations in Escalante. It was so pretty there.

We also got to enjoy a very cold sunset in Bryce Canyon. I was shivering so hard I could hardly press the shutter button.

A few blades of green grass

It was so heavenly today. We sat out in the back yard for a while and admired a few blades of green grass that were showing. The kids loved it. Harlee was fun to watch as she learned how to walk on the grass. It didn't take her long.
