Smiles

Seeing the joy on the face of this little girl at the zoo yesterday makes me smile. Hope something as simple as seeing an otter swim makes you feel happy today. Look at the reflection of the man in the glass. He was loving it too!!

Boating with babies

We went boating with some of the kids on Friday. Greg was wonderful and put a canopy over the dock so the twins and I could stay out of the full sun. It was my job to hang out on the dock with the kids. The twins were so good to sit in their stroller with their life jackets on. They also loved their first experience splashing their feet in the water. They liked it so much that the guys gave them a swimming experience.
Of course, sharing the steering wheel was not an option!!

A Glorious Day...

Grand Teton Park in June is one of my favorite places. We went there today and were not disappointed. The hike we planned to go on was not open yet.....too much snow. So we hiked to a place we've been before, Heron Pond. This area only fills up with water in wet years. I figured it would be pretty this year with all the snow we had last winter.

The wildflowers in the lower elevations are thriving. It is so pretty.

Everything is an adventure.....

When you are with the boys everything is an adventure....even the grocery store. Amber had to take them to the store with her, and I needed groceries as well, so a joint trip was planned. It was fun but because I was hurrying, trying to entertain Brighton, I spent way too much money. Oh well, we should have plenty of good things to eat at our house.

I didn't know you could still buy those cheap little pinwheels.

A Wonderful Day

Saturday, Greg and I decided that we could get away together for a day. Of all the things we wanted to do, seeing Harlee was at the top of the list. So we took off for a drive. We went through Arco and stopped at Craters of the Moon for a couple of hours before going on to Twin Falls.

Greg climbing in one of the Lava tubes.

We had a wonderful time spending time with the Halls. How much we love them..... We think that Twin Falls is a fun place.

Harlee bought her Grandpa a fun book to read for Father's Day.

We had fun seeing the sights.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MELISSA

Can't believe that our baby is 19 years old today. Where did the time go? Your party was fun, but not the same without Mike, Heather, Beau, and Harlee. Hopefully next year everyone will be able to celebrate with us. Have fun reading all your new books. You certainly are the bookworm of the family. We love you so much!!

Baby Birds

My neighbors are watching out for me!! My friend Becky left a message on my answering machine that another neighbor had a photo opportunity for me. The Matthews have a wreath on their front door that some robins built a nest in. The baby birds are about ready to fly away, so I needed to get there right away to get some photos. I'm afraid my photos don't do the scene justice. I needed to be a lot taller. Of course Eileen got me a stepstool, but I still wasn't quite there.

Oh well, it was fun to see and I'm glad I got to visit the Matthews for a while. I sure hope the birds don't decide to fly away when the door is opened!! Thanks, Becky!!

He's Finally Walking

We all knew Brighton could walk. He just wouldn't do it. He could run behind his little push toy. He could walk around anything. He would walk on his knees everywhere.

Last night Greg and I went to babysit. When I walked in the door, Brigham greeted me with a love. I saw Brighton and he put his arms out to me. I put my arms out to him and he walked half way across the room to give me a hug. He was laughing the entire time. He was so proud of himself and then started walking everywhere. In a few minutes he was walking while drinking his sippy. The little stinker.....he could have done it months ago.

Fun with Brighton

The twins have been sick. Today Amber called and said that she was sick but out running errands. I told her to come to the house and rest. I took the opportunity to spend a little time with Brighton.

He wanted to get up on the spare bed. Then he had a great time flopping himself back on the pillows.
